RFPT07--Lung Image Analysis to Measure CF Lung Disease

This session will focus on state-of-the art lung imaging modalities and methods of analysis to sensitively measure progression of CF Lung Disease. Presenters will be given the opportunity to succinctly present the essence of their poster data in 5 minute presentations one after another. After the session, questions can be addressed with the presenter by visiting their poster during the open Poster Hall hours.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will acquire a comprehensive understanding of how innovative MRI techniques can be employed to identify and localize both structural and functional changes associated with cystic fibrosis (CF) lung disease.
  • Participants will learn how radiation-free MRI techniques can be developed and utilized to sensitively detect and monitor the progression of cystic fibrosis (CF) lung disease.
  • Participants will explore various imaging modalities as alternatives to traditional lung function tests for monitoring the progression of cystic fibrosis (CF) lung disease, with a focus on their relevance in the post-modulator era.
