This session will highlight the importance of health equity in advancing the health and wellbeing of all people with cystic fibrosis (PwCF). Topics will include defining equity in the context of cystic fibrosis (CF), describing the importance of a diverse CF workforce, and highlighting lessons learned from the Communities of Color Focus Group Report and the Hispanic CF Community.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define equity and why it is important in cystic fibrosis.
  • Describe the importance of our CF workforce reflecting the diversity of our patients.
  • Identify barriers to engagement from communities of color and discuss strategies to improve partnership.
  • Review key lessons learned from the Hispanic CF Community.
