Endocrine disorders are common comorbidities for persons with cystic fibrosis. Endocrine comorbidities include bone disease, diabetes, impaired glucose tolerance, and hormonal changes in aging. Up to one-third of adults with cystic fibrosis have bone disease and up to 20% of adolescents and 40% of adults with cystic fibrosis have diabetes. Identification and treatment of these disorders are important components of caring for patients with cystic fibrosis. This session will explore screening options for cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, bone disease, and menopause.
