This session will highlight key, timely clinical studies of cystic fibrosis-related endocrine co-morbidities and emerging therapies. As individuals with CF are living longer, endocrinopathies and reproductive outcomes have become paramount areas of active exploration. This session will address critical endocrine and reproductive topics across the lifespan in people with CF, including male and female reproduction, neonatal and maternal health, and management of CFRD with the use of automated insulin delivery and clinical use of non-insulin therapies for the evolving obesity phenotype.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review patterns of contraceptive use as well as fertility and maternal and neonatal outcomes.
  • Discuss the benefits and concerns of automated insulin delivery systems in CF.
  • Review management outcomes and potential adverse effects of GLP-1 agonist treatment of CFRD and obesity in CF.
