Over the past several decades, significant advancements in cystic fibrosis (CF) treatment have greatly enhanced the quality of life for people with CF. However, fungal infections in the lungs remain a persistent and challenging complication. This symposium will explore the current landscape of fungal infections in CF, highlighting the latest clinical research and how these infections are evolving in the context of highly effective modulators. We will also address emerging challenges and focus on the development of new therapeutics aimed at improving the diagnosis, treatment, and overall management of fungal infections in CF, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the lives of all individuals affected by the disease.
