This session will include a panel discussion of multidisciplinary experts addressing the cost incurred by people with CF for their care. Areas will include DME, medications, family cost implications and costs associated with mental health. This session will also include a Q&A at the end.

Learning Objectives:

  • Analyze the socioeconomic impact related to the care of costs associated for people with cystic fibrosis and how it affects families including financial strain and emotional well-being.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of medication costs for people with cystic fibrosis, including assessing affordability, insurance coverage, and potential financial assistance programs.
  • Describe the economic burden related to the financial implications of necessary equipment for managing cystic fibrosis including nebulizers, Monarch Vests and other medical supplies.
